The End SARS movement started off as a social media campaign in Nigeria to put an end to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a police force that had been accused of human rights violations. Thousands of people took to the streets in cities across the country in early October to peacefully demonstrate and call for an end to police brutality, impunity and corruption.

The End SARS protests became a symbol of the fight for justice and human rights in Nigeria, and being a part of the seven-day demonstrations is an experience I will never forget capturing.
